Godspeed (Ke
Ke)Ke Ke is
Jacquelyn's young
horse. She is hoping to compete her up the levels in eventing. She has
already proven herself as a future event prospect with a 70% and a
second place at Difficult Run Future Young Horse event. This earned her
a spot in the inaugural USEA Future Young Horse Championship where she
placed 7th. She is already far exceeding Jacquelyn's expectations with
her incredible balance and elasticity. Watch for this one moving up the
ranks!
Alli Murdock
(Del Boy)Alli Murdock (aka Del Boy) is a 15 year old imported Connemara pony. He is 14'3 hands and is athletic as they come. His Owner, Lois Kessler, lives in RI and has entrusted his training to Jacquelyn for the past three years. Lois Kessler enjoys coming to watch her Irish boy compete in his new career as an event pony. He qualified and competed at the Area II Championships and was 12th in Region II. Because of a prior leg injury Del Boy is limited to Beginner Novice but Jacquelyn hopes to compete him at the USEA American Championship before he takes on his new role as her little girl, Ariana's, Short Stirrup pony. Del Boy is also an accomplished foxhunter and he definitely enjoys his time with the hounds. Jacquelyn feels fortunate that Lois Kessler chose her to bring Del Boy to the next level. MaestroMaestro is a 6 year old Paint Warmblood gelding. His owner, Chris Turner, has him in training with Jacquelyn. He will start his competitive career in the spring of 2008. He is currently learning to be more elastic and adjustable and is proving it with stellar long and low work. Clinic: Southern MarylandJacquelyn was invited to present a two-day clinic for junior riders in Southern Marlyand in December of 2007. Jacquleyn began the clinic with a demonstration using a horse that was unfamiliar to both Jacquelyn and her methods. The horse quickly responded to the groundwork and was light and relaxed under saddle. Following the demonstration, each participant was able to work with Jacquelyn individually on the ground to feel the elasticity. Each student then particpated in a semi-private or private session to learn the groundwork and then to feel the lightness under saddle. On the second day, students continued with semi-private and private sessions to review the groundwork and expand on the under saddle training. The clinic was very successful and all of the riders were able to perform the groundwork independantly and the horses all responded well. |
